i do not even no why malays student can't speak english so well. because for me this problem have more the reason why can't too improve self to speak better english. the answer has depend for person why they aren't too speak better in english. in UKM there are many student, expecially malays student cant to speak english so well. so in my opinion we should be to make reseaches what happened have many malays student cant to improve english language
we necessarily retrace why many student Malay could not speak decently possible in language English. as well off a student under FSSK, we should take approach to do research about communication issue in language English this, student's issue Malay no dapt speak in language English nicely is issue which no ultimately because at all either public or private higher learning centre, many cannot speak in language English perfectly.

axcually i agree with u taufiq.. so that why we are the rural areas should be to make the reseaches how to solve this problem. from my hipotesis i think urban student have a lot off time they are spend to speak english. especially they are practise spooked in english until they are youngers. so that why their aren't ashamed to speak in english. but when i ask student UKM from rural areas they imform me why their can't speak better in english because feel have a little bit shy to talk with friends. the reason why is about they dont have more confident to talk with other people. so in my opinion, there is much difference between urban areas and rural areas.
Apart from that, they less confident on oneself to speak in language English. they fear when wrong talk English they will laugh them. As such, they became dare not to be talking English in public. Surrounding community should give support on those new learn language English not laugh. Let wrong speak English but could venture on the already good enough than never try directly. Learn from oneself mistake is new could advance forwards.

Apart from that, find word meaning in English daily, always opened dictionary to seek out meaning that does not understood, video English also can help. all on own effort how to learn.
My opinion again..... systematic concept of learning could help student in improving inside skill speak and write. Should be student Malay would be aware language importance English nowadays really emphasize are mainly in field occupation. This case could facilitate communication at international level. actually i like to read subtitle when i watching tv proram.. so from here i can 2 improving my language.. but the subtitle not enought to prove it our language so well.. so for taufiq and mustaqim.. you all should be to watching tv program ok.. hopefully can to help us to speak slowly in english isn't?? because the program tv have subtitle in englis uses the simple tenses so make we essy to understanding and also the language that use always we use too every day.. hehehe

i'm here..sory to you all because lately my internet connection pretty bad..so i agree with your oppinons..i just want add litle bit more. most malay student are not lucky enough because most of them come from village and pure malay speaking famaly.so their environment itself doesn't help then to improve their english. so, we as the unfortunate must ready to learn from now onwards. make friends with the chinese and indians.. dont just be friend with malay. because the reality out there is not as easy as we think. to be global we must fluent in english because english is the global language, but deep inside your heart dont forget our mothertounge bacause afterall we are still malay. l really like is your second idea mustakim.. as we know many malays students always use citcat to make the translation. so when their use the citcat i think not profesional because citcat can't help us to make the truth translation. in my opinion, last semester im try to uses citcat to make the translation after my friends give the adea to use that. so i try use the citcat bahasa melayu to english and here i can detect actually citcat gave word not true and make us headache to understanding when done using the translation. i think my group need to do reseach how many students ukm especially malay students use citcat as the guide line to make the translation

we back to our discusion, why have many students in ukm use citcat to make the translation. last day i'm going in my friends room and his also during uses citcat.so i ask him why use citcat always? so his said to me his lassy to open dictionary and dont have many time to search wording in english one by one because take a many time. i think this is normal habit with student aspecially ukm student's.
